About HBR
Founded in 1979, HBR's core business (then as now) was primarily to serve the needs of
emergency physician practices, and HBR currently bills over three million visits annually
at over 100 practice sites. HBR has grown to employ more than 500 people serving clients
in 12 states. The company is privately owned, financially stable and has three operating
centers Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia; Pawley's Island, South Carolina,
just south of Myrtle Beach; and Durham, North Carolina.
HBR is proudest of its people. While technology and process design and control are key ingredients in
the company's efficacy and effectiveness at emergency physician billing, the company ultimately can be
no better than the people who serve there.
The senior leadership has an average tenure of 16 years with the company and works with a team of
management professionals with some of the finest qualifications in the industry. HBR personnel have
contributed a great deal to the specialty of emergency medicine both in company service and in outside
organizational activities. We believe that the management of HBR is an important reason why so many
emergency physician groups entrust us with their business.
